Martyn's previous professional experience includes work for Twitter and Microsoft and today he is the Managing partner of Gardn - company that focus on building single narratives to talk to investors, employees and customers. In this session Martyn will teach us how to be smart about marketing strategy that brings tangible sales results without burning budgets... whether it is for your freelance business or for your customers.

Elaine Pofeldt is an independent journalist and speaker who specializes in careers and entrepreneurship. She is author of two books: ''The Million-Dollar, One-Person Business'' and ''Tiny Business, Big Money'' where she looks at how entrepreneurs are scaling to $1 million in revenue prior to hiring employees. Her work has appeared on CNBC and in Fortune, Money, Forbes. During this session Elaine will present cases of independent one-person businesses earning big money.

Paula Ronan, Marketing consultant
Paula Ronan is an award winning marketing consultant with 26 years of marketing experience in the UK and Ireland. She has worked with blue chip clients such as Coca-Cola, Sky and DoneDeal as well as SMEs including Wexford Home Preserves, Whizzy Internet, Liberty Blue Estate Agents and Green BioFuels Ireland. Her work as a mentor with has allowed her to help hundreds of small businesses and start-ups. In this workshop we will do hands-on exercises to identify your key benefits that will help you to market and sell better.

Entrepreneurship, small business and careers are her specialties. She is also author of the new book "The Million-Dollar, One-Person Business" (Random House) and Tiny Business, Big Money.

    Elaine also helps corporate, nonprofit and private clients write and edit proposals, e-newsletters, blogs, RFPs, reports, white papers, academic articles and books.

    She helps her online editorial consulting clients create inviting, high-traffic websites -- drawing on her experience in building Fsb.com to 2-to 5-million page views a month and the #2 site in Google after the U.S. SBA.

    Elaine founded and ran a national business plan competition for FORTUNE Small Business and now advises clients on creating and improving contests of their own. She has experience appearing as an expert guest on TV for outlets such as MSNBC and CNN.
