Terms and conditions of attendance

Freelance Business Community Events (FBC) organisers may take photographs and video material during the event and reproduce it in the educational, news or promotional material, whether in print, electronic or other media, including the FBC websites and social media.

By participating in the FBC events, you grant the FBC the right to use your name, photograph and biography for such purposes. All photographs and videos are the property of the FBC and may be displayed, distributed or used by the FBC for any purpose.

Anyone attending FBC events must not take part in any canvassing, leafleting, demonstrations, objectionable behaviour or any activity, which may disrupt the event.

FBC reserves the right to stop any activity on the part of any attendee that may interfere with, or cause annoyance to any event.

FBC reserves the right to exclude or remove anyone from the event who does not comply with these terms and conditions or who they reasonably consider is likely to break these rules.

Cancellation

By registering and buying ticket to the FBC events you agree to the Freelance Business Community (FBC) cancellation policies.

- Launch ticket: cancellation is not possible

- Full cancellation possible 30 days before the event, FBC keeps the administrative fee of 10 EUR. Ticker holder may pass the ticket and assign another attendee at any time.

- 29-15 days before the event – FBC refunds 50% of the ticket price minus administrative fee 10 EUR.

- 14-0 days before the event - cancellation is not possible. Ticker holder may pass the ticket and assign another attendee at any time.


Privacy statement

This privacy notice applies to anyone entering information on our websites, registering online or subscribing to our emails or making an enquiry or complaint to us.

This notice does not cover third party websites to which we provide links, which should be covered by their own privacy notices. FBC is not responsible for the content of third party websites.

How we will use your personal information

We are committed to collecting and using your personal information fairly and transparently, so we will make it clear if we are collecting personal information from you or intend to use it for any purpose that is not obvious.

We use the personal information that you provide to us for our internal purposes, such as responding to your requests for information, contacting you, conducting internal analyses, and processing and completing orders and event registrations.

We reserve the right to compile, save, use within the scope of our activities, and analyse any and all data (contact and personal data, use history, etc.) that we collect from you through our websites.

We may disclose personal information to a third party, such as a law enforcement agency, if required to do so by law.

Opt in preferences – the FBC and third parties

When you submit personal information to us through the registration pages on this website, you will be given an opportunity to opt in to receiving information from us and from selected third parties. When such permission is granted, we may provide lists containing your name, company, title, address, telephone number and/or email address to third parties and our affiliates for their direct and indirect marketing and promotional purposes, and we may use your personal information for the same purposes.

FBC will not pass your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes without your consent.

If you initially elect to opt in to FBC or third party mailing lists, and later decide that you would like to opt out, you may email us at info@freelancebusiness.eu or unsubscribe at the bottom of the communication piece. Please keep in mind that although the FBC strives to update our mailing list database as frequently as possible, it may take up to 10 days to process email requests, during which time your information might be communicated to another party in connection with a mailing list. Additionally, you should be aware that any mailing lists that have been provided to third parties prior to your election to opt out cannot be retrieved by the FBC, and you cannot retrospectively opt out with respect to such third parties.

Sharing your personal information with vendors

We may share the personal information you provide to us with other companies we have hired to provide services for us. These companies – our vendors – are contractually bound to use personal information that we share with them only to perform the services we have hired them to provide.

Security

We will take care to ensure that your personal information is secure. When we do provide mailing lists to third parties or vendors we enter into agreements with such parties requiring them to comply with all applicable laws, and prohibiting further distribution or disclosure of the lists to other parties.

We use Google Analytics to help us to improve our websites. This uses cookies to collect information about how visitors reach and use our websites, but does not identify any individuals. Liability waiver

I agree and acknowledge that I am undertaking participation in FBC events and activities as my own free and intentional act and I am fully aware that possible physical injury might occur to me as a result of my participation in these events. I give this acknowledgement freely and knowingly and that I am, as a result, able to participate in FBC events and I do hereby assume responsibility for my own wellbeing and safety.

Photographs and video material taken at FBC events

The FBC plans to take photographs and video material at FBC events and reproduce them in FBC educational, news or promotional material, whether in print, electronic or other media, including the FBC websites and social media. By participating in FBC events, you grant the FBC the right to use your name, photograph and biography for such purposes. All photographs and video material become the property of the FBC and may be displayed, distributed or used by the FBC for any purpose.

Furthermore:
i. I acknowledge the FBC's right to crop, splice, treat and edit any photographs or video material taken of me at the FBC's sole discretion. I waive my right to inspect or approve the finished product, now and in the future, whether that use is known or unknown to me;
ii. I hereby agree to release, defend, and hold harmless the FBC and its agents or employees, including any firm publishing and/or distributing the finished product in whole or in part, from and against any claims, damages or liability arising from or related to the use of the photographs or video material, including but not limited to any misuse, distortion, blurring, alteration, optical illusion, or in the taking, processing, reduction or production of the finished product, its publication or distribution.


Copyright notice

Companies that submit artwork or upload or link any material (including but not limited to images, text, documents and/or video files) to the website are solely responsible for the content of such material and for gaining required permissions under copyright, trademark, trade secret or other applicable law for the use of such material (Caution: Many websites purchase artwork from stock photo suppliers for the expressed website use or from hired photographers who have only supplied one-time rights.) By submitting any such material, the submitting company represents and agrees that (i) it has obtained the necessary permissions referenced above, (ii) any such material is not likely to defame and does not invade the privacy of any person, and (iii) it will defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its affiliates and their respective directors, employees and agents (including , without limitation, its publishing partner or any agent acting on its behalf) from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) resulting from the submitting company's breach of the obligations set forth in this paragraph.


Acceptance
By registering for and attending FBC events, I hearby agree that I accept the terms stated above and, indemnify and hold harmless the FBC, its affiliates and their respective directors, employees and agents (including, without limitation, any agent acting on its behalf) from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) resulting from attendance at FBC.
